As the Head of IT for The National Museum of the Royal Navy, I oversee the IT infrastructure and support across several sites, ensuring the smooth operation and security of the museum's systems and networks. I am responsible for leading the IT team and developing a forward-thinking, strategic plan for the museums IT service, ensuring the IT strategy is aligned with wider corporate objectives.I have successfully led and implemented multiple projects, such as performing server and client upgrades and migrations, network migrations and device replacements, plus server and SAN hardware replacement. I also manage a VMware infrastructure and Veeam for backup and disaster recovery, and have experience installing new Cisco, HP, Juniper, and Extreme equipment.I have a strong background in computer networks and systems support, having studied for five years at college and university level. I graduated with a BSc in Computer Networks from the University of Portsmouth in 2017, where I gained valuable knowledge and skills in network design, administration, and troubleshooting. I am passionate about IT and always eager to learn new technologies and best practices.
