My name is George Akid - a freelance performer and presenter working in the entertainment industry. I began my career as a Redcoat for Butlins. Here I developed my knowledge and skills that have allowed me to continue working in this sector. Plus, I developed my customer interaction skills working with people on a daily basis that I continue to use to date. Since then, I have become a self-employed performer, presenter and entertainer travelling the world and working in incredible locations such as Dubai, Sweden and Blackpool! Two out of three ain't bad? I have also worked for some the UK's biggest leisure and entertainments companies including Haven, Bourne Leisure and Merlin. Alongside this, I produce voice-overs specialising in character voices including Father Christmas. Each year, I am called upon to help keep the magic of Christmas alive wether it be for radio ad's, audio books or live stage show. I recently joined Crafter's TV expanding in to the world of live TV as a freelance presenter.I can often be found touring with The Sooty Show performing in some the UK's largest holiday parks and the worlds biggest cruise ships!Another area that I love to work is pantomime. Every year, I am fortunate enough to grace some the UK's best loved theatres performing as range of characters including my favourite - dame.
