A lot of top-tier experts helped me sharpen skills earlier in my career -- and now I've reached the point where it's time to give back. I'm a frequent visitor to college campuses, sharing insights about career paths. In journalistic circles, I'm often invited to provide advice on story-spotting, advanced reporting techniques and best practices for data-driven journalism. These sessions are informed by nearly four years of experience writing LinkedIn's showcase "Workforce Insights." I've written five hardcover business books, and will be gearing up for the sixth at some point. Details are at georgeandersbooks.com. My latest book, "You Can Do Anything," examines the college-to-career journey in ways that inspire the next generation of achievers.Away from work, you'll often find me hiking with friends or family members. Favorite moments include a rim-to-rim traverse of the Grand Canyon, hiking Nepal's Annapurna Circuit, and making it to the top of South Africa's Table Mountain. (See banner photo!). Missteps include a freak encounter with "snow cow" in the Swiss Alps and getting chewed up by leeches in Indonesia.
