Müller glial cells span the width of the retina and extend fine processes that closely appose synapses of every neuronal cell type. As a postdoc in Marla Feller's lab, I explored the interaction between glia and neural circuits in the developing mouse retina.

I edited Previews and Reviews published in Neuron, Trends in Molecular Medicine, and Trends in Pharmacological Sciences.

Trigeminal sensory neurons extend their peripheral axons into the skin, where they are responsible for the sensation of temperature, touch, and pain. As a graduate student in Alvaro Sagasti's lab, I studied genes that control the development and regeneration of these beautifully branched axons in live zebrafish embryos.
