I have worked in several industries throughout my life, which includes agriculture, retail, and service. With each new job I have learned valuable skills such as determination, patience, intellectual curiosity, open-mindedness, and many others. That is why, I believe I would be good at business, so I am studying Business Administration and Marketing as a double major. I learned the majority of my skills in agriculture and have had many wonderful experiences working in the field. Working in agriculture allows for a lot of independent growth in one's skills and responsibilities. The management style of my boss allowed for us to gain experience as managers and deal with situations that drove me to be mentally and physically exhausted. However, this kept me pushing myself harder and harder to be better at my job. Because of this, I plan to go into the agricultural sector and work for John Deere. I would like to operate and manage a John Deere implement store, so I can keep that connection I have to agriculture. I believe I will succeed in business, and I will strive to be the best employee and manager. I also hope that I can gain the respect of my customers, employees, and upper management, so that I am recognized as a ethical, responsible, and reliable friend to everyone I know.
