Stream Specialist for WSSC consent decree in Montgomery County Parks. During my time as a consultant to M-NCPPC through Parsons Corp I oversaw completion of over 30 stream restorations. All to date are stable and functioning as intended.Assisting WSSC with plan review for M-NCPPC Permit approval. Helped create standard details for stream restoration, based from my own past experience and observations. These details have been accepted and are being used as the typical details for the WSSC Consent Decree Project in Montgomery County. Oversee and inspect stream restoration projects. Train inspectors and contractors on acceptable methods of stream restoration / stabilization. Improve over all quality of finished product by requesting modifications whenever it seems that something will not work and or does not make sense. Design Stream Stabilization's for emergency projects. Expedite approval to go to construction when time is not available to apply for Montgomery Parks permit.

Inspected Stream Restoration work for the ICC (Inter-County Connector ) project in Maryland.Ensured Stream Restoration work met plan requirements.

Inspected construction of the New Lake Champlain Bridge Project managed by NYDOT (New York State Department of Transportation. To ensure compliance with USCOE (United State Corp of Engineers) permit. Reported to VTrans Vermont Agency of Transportation, USCOE and NYDOT.Wrote weekly and After Storm Inspection Reports.Monitored concrete discharge water and oversaw treatment back to acceptable PH levels before discharging back to Lake Champlain.

Oversaw repair by replacement of a 24" Water Main.

Oversee contracts on the I-95 Express Toll Lane Project in Baltimore, MD to ensure compliance with Maryland Department of the Environment Permits and Army Corps of Engineers Permit.

Assisted head estimator with the measuring of quantities and cost estimating for commercial drywall construction. Provided management support for rebuilds of high rise office buildings in downtown Baltimore, MD.

Ensured that Richmond American Homes of Maryland stayed in compliance with General Construction Activity Permit. Audited Paradigm Engineering Inspectors. Conduted Tailgate Training Talks with Superintendents and Subcontractors.

Oversee grading operations.Conduct AASHTO T-180 Proctor tests to determine Marshall Number for nuclear gauge soil moisture-density testing. Inspect storm water management infrastructure installation and utility installation.Test concrete for curb, sidewalk and bridge structures.Oversee paving operations. Ensure grade is prepared properly to specifications. Ensure asphalt is applied at the proper temperatures, collect asphalt core samples and record nuclear gauge compaction test results.Inspect Erosion and Sediment controls.Keep the contractor in compliance with NPDES, Maryland State Highway Administration 2001 Standards and Specifications and Maryland Department of Environment 1994 Standards and Specifications. Inspect and verify the "Limit of Disturbance" prior to clearing and grubbing.Confirm the proper permits and NOI (Notice of Intent) are available onsite and the sequence of construction is being followed. Draft and submit modifications to the proper department when the sequence of construction is not practical to follow. Changes to the plans are recorded as "Green Line Revisions".Supervise Baltimore Gas and Electric conduit installation open cut through Windlass Run stream. Instruct the contractor on the proper methods of stream reconstruction and restoration.Inspect sediment basin, bio-retention pond, temporary sediment trap construction and storm water management pond conversion.Conduct soils testing, nuclear gauge testing. Inspect storm water management infrastructure installation and utility installation.Document the nutrient management plan and inspect temporary, permanent and wetland stabilization.Geo-technical investigator for the Woodrow Wilson Bridge project.

Read specifications, measure plans and do take-offs to estimate a bid price for materials and incidentals.Deliver the bid to the owner, who was many times the State of Rhode Island.Give assignments to five crews and supervise projects while the President is unavailable.Determine accessibility and feasibility of projects prior to and after award of bid.

Developed a basic understanding of surveying and construction techniques. Operate a laser level for installing reinforced concrete pipe and sanitary sewer lines. Assist with the installation of leach fields and building dry block retaining walls. Operate a cut saw; John Deere backhoe and a CAT rubber tire front-end loader with side dump. This I feel was valuable work experience and set me apart from most professionals, as there is no substitution for hands on experience.
