About George Caines

As a senior manager I have had the pleasure of working with some great people in a number of different industries. I am a people person and with my operational background I have been able to excel in every position that I have held due to my ability to identify the position for what it is, not the industry it represents.Success is usually measured in accomplishments, but it is also measured in identification and adaptability. Most people try to put a round object in a round hole when filling a position because that is their comfort level. I do not fall within the standard confrominity, what I am is a out of the box thinker and always testing the boundaries of normal because normal is "status-quo".I started my career as an Engineer in the Forest resource sector and from that point I learned some valuable life lessons, that change is every day and you either ignore it or embrace it. I choose to embrace it and challenge it in order to understand why, then to understand how!Since then I have been in many senior operational roles in many different industries, the basic understanding of the position carries through to any industry. Industry knowledge can be learned in a short time frame but job experience is learned over a career lifetime. The uniqueness of this is do people have the vision to see past the round peg in a round hole?I have many years of senior management experience in various rolls, I have a unique ability to acquiesce into any role in any industry. I am a strong leader and a strategic thinker who strives to create an environment where everyone is happy and successful. My challenge to anyone who views my profile is to look beyond the stereotype and see what people are capable of in a position where skills are transferable to any industry.
