 Drafted and negotiated commercial real estate purchase contracts, commercial shopping center leases, subleases, amendments, and modification.  Worked with property administration personnel to resolve landlord/tenant issues. Handled closings for property acquisitions. Drafted and negotiated reciprocal, cross easements, restrictions, covenants, declarations, and site development agreements. Reviewed and commented on due diligence materials, such as title commitments and ALTA surveys. Provided legal advice with respect to the cure of all matters disclosed in the title commitments and ALTA surveys. Coordinated all aspects of the closing, including review and negotiation of the final title policy and endorsements, and preparation of escrow closing letter.

Brands, Inc. in new restaurant development by negotiating and drafting commercial leases and purchase agreements. • Worked with an outside counsel: Settled a litigated dispute between an adjacent property owner and Taco Bell restaurant. Resolved landlord tenant disputes and received a favorable outcome for a Taco Bell restaurant. Defeated landlord’s motion for a TRO so that KFC will be able to continue to build a new restaurant in Chicago, IL.• Worked on re-franchising transactions comprising 81 restaurants, resulting in cash proceeds to Taco Bell of $79.2 million.• Worked with legal team on new restaurant development standards and practices.
