Managing PartnerImagine Supply Chain Jan 2016 - PresentGreater Salt Lake City AreaHas overseen multiple critical projects during a crucial time of development in the growth of Imagine Supply Chain (ISC).Consulting: Initial development and projects went so well that George launched a consulting arm of the company to allow managing members the opportunity to share their experiences and lessons learned with other fulfillment houses, manufacturers and freight carriers. Using a core foundation in contingency theory, custom solutions have been developed for companies just breaking into the logistics industry to other companies pushing to reach new heights of profitaility and operational excellence.Quality Process Improvement: Using Six Sigma DMAIC documented current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and improved the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including Same-Day Shipping, Order Accuracy and Inventory Accuracy.IT: Migrated on-site databases and IT structure to a cloud environment in preparation for ISC to go from a single-site company to a bi-coastal solution. Software Development: Brought business intelligence into the hands of clients through a myriad of interactive analytic dashboards. Also developed and deployed a robust web app which combined a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and an Order Management System (OMS) into a single platform which could be accessed from any location on any web enabled computer or mobile device. Further developed internal tools to translate carrier contracts and generate rate charts for all existing and onboarding clients. -
General Manager & Internal ConsultantPro Star Fulfillment Nov 2009 - Dec 2015Greater Salt Lake City AreaUsing Six Sigma DMAIC, CMMI, and Agile (SCRUM), I raised the quality from the bottom national tier to "Best-In-Class" in the nation per the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC) for the warehouses in both Salt Lake, UT and Memphis, TN. Further, I oversaw PCI Compliance and was co-responsible for our onsite and remote data centers. Using SQL, other Microsoft tools, and a further consolidation through data warehousing, I developed the next generation of business intelligence providing a standard system for generating regular internal reports, trends, and triggers for our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This allowed us to catch trends before they became issues, keeping us top tier in the nation for quality.I have also assisted the C level executives transition operational control back into their own hands. This included the creation of a Project Management Office (PMO), further development of business intelligence through new executive forecasting tools, training sessions from the warehouse floor level to the C level, and plenty of data analysis and process improvements throughout our multiple divisions including Fulfillment, Supply Chain, Logistics, LTL, TL, Parcel, International and Packaging. My beginnings included the 1st generations of global business intelligence for Pro Star outside of the Order Management System (OMS). I focused my data warehousing techniques on operations, invoicing, monitoring & auditing tools, as well as began the major push in centralizing the bi-coastal organization through implementing an internal client care department complete with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), email trainings, grammar classes, and email improvement classes. I further centralized by using the Spiral methodology to internally develop 3 major prototypes and later implementations of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) coordinating product spread across 7 total warehouses: 3 warehouses in Salt Lake City, UT and another 4 warehouses in Memphis, TN. -

I also trained bankers on testing and obtaining their public notary for the state of Utah. -

Customer Support ManagerEbay Inc Dec 1999 - May 2003Greater Salt Lake City AreaManaged over 20 Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) at a given time who were responsible for both email (KANA) and live chat (LivePerson). Building on my business intelligence experience, I developed several internal applications for multiple departments including the tool used company wide which tracked and reported the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in a rolling quarter for each CSR's weekly one on ones. I also trained the new hire classes which would last several weeks each. -
CoachUtah Pinnacle Gymnastics Jan 1994 - Dec 1999Greater Salt Lake City AreaI was the main coach directly under the Head Coach (Gym owner). Maintenance ManagerPublic Telephone Jan 1990 - Dec 1997Greater Salt Lake City AreaMaintained and collected money from payphones all over Utah. Duties included programming payphones, training and managing my own teams to do the cement work used for mounting the payphones, painting and refurbishing the payphones, and collecting money, aggregating physical funds, and preparing deposits for the bank (this last part may sound bland but we literally took our deposits of coin to the bank using wheelbarrows, it was pretty fun). Working here with data, projects, and people became my humble beginnings in business intelligence, project management, and management in general.
