In 2006, I quit my corporate job after coming up with the idea that RFID would have an important impact in the Automotive industry. I always had an interest in cars, but knew nothing about automotive and nothing about the technology I would start my company on. I am a fast learner and had great people helping along the way. At the same time, we did not anticipate our product launch during the automotive meltdown. Fast forward 10 years later and we have a very successful dealership technology company with expertise in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), License Plate Recognition (LPR), and Bluetooth beacon technologies. On November 8, 2016 we changed our company name from MyDealerLot to MDL autoMation to better reflect our expanded offerings in dealership technologies. Today we work closely with many of the top private and public dealership groups in the U.S. and Canada such as Sewell, Park Place, Fletcher Jones, and Sonic Automotive. In 2012 MDL was endorsed by Audi of America. In June 2013, MDL was formally endorsed by Lexus and Toyota Motor Services for installation in their US dealer network. In 2015, BMW North America selected MDL as their technology partner after an exhaustive search amongst all the players in Automated Guest Identity, MDL has more integrations with top tier industry solutions than any other company. I can tell you that we are not the cheapest solution nor do we want to be. We simply want to be the best at what we do with world class products and support.
