The Standish Mellon “Fixed Income and Cash Asset Management Service Company” (FICAM) SQL Server environment consists of both operational databases and data warehouses that connect with AS/400, Oracle, and DB2 systems. The environment includes 300+ SSIS packages, 200+ SQL Agent jobs, and 30+ databases. Databases range in size up to 125 Gigabytes and tables range in size up to 140 million records and up to 35 Gigabytes. Troubleshoot problems by fixing invalid SWIFT messages, examining Heliograph databases, restarting the Heliograph application and server, and FTPing message files. Also develop code in support of Heliograph, set up new Fiserv Message Workstation users, and test and maintain the Heliograph databases. Fiserv CheckFree Frontier: Primary DBA supporting the matching and reconciliation system database. Work with the system administrator to load new accounts, monitor and perform database maintenance, and troubleshoot problems.

Developed code for and supported the “ABSNet Loan” production environment which: - Consists of more than 60 databases, the largest ones reaching up to 250 GB in size - Has several thousand tables, the largest of which has more than 800 million records - Imports data from more than 2400 files each month, the largest reaching up to 4 GB in size Database Development:Conceived and developed a “Process Status” database (procedures, functions, tables, views, etc.) and associated SSIS packages to provide visibility into the processing of data from more than 2400 files each month. Intranet Web pages connected to the database and T-SQL functions provide team members detailed and summary information about the data at various stages in the processing pipeline. Data Import Automation:Automated the import of more than 2000 monthly files using a .NET (C#) console application and more than a dozen SSIS packages. Production Process Automation:Developed a set of QA databases and SSIS packages to automate the execution of more than 800 quality assurance SQL queries and generate detailed and summary result tables for more than a dozen normalized databases each month. Production Scripts:Developed a "LoanPeriodNoDynamic" script (T-SQL) used in the monthly production process that finds gaps in a table with 700 million records and generates more than 800 million records to populate another table. Developed scripts (batch and T-SQL) that enable extract users to create and load database tables with more than 150 GB of monthly extract data. Windows Forms and Console Applications:Maintained, developed, and deployed Windows Forms applications (C#/ClickOnce) used by Analysts to review and modify data. Developed and enhanced production and ad hoc console applications used to process back-end data. Also built the front-end for configuring & scheduling Remittance processing jobs, and for generating extracts, wire transfer files, & Error Reports.- Designed, developed, and deployed an Oracle ETL application that produces a nightly Payment Discrepancy Report which has been used to recover (in its initial 15 months) more than $600,000 in adjustments from Insurance carriers and to “close” the first seven quarters of the Medicare Part D premium subsidy program.- Designed, developed, and deployed a call center database (used to record approximately 80,000 phone calls in its first eleven months) for Massachusetts’ “Health Safety Net” program.

Second Project:- Migrated the Change Management intranet site to an ASP.NET front-end (from classic ASP) and an MS SQL Server 2000 back-end (from MS Access).- Developed scheduled SQL Server DTS jobs to import Remedy/Brio flat-file data feeds, stored procedures, and the new ASP.NET 2.0 intranet site project.First Project:- Enhanced Staples’ New Item Setup Form used by more than 1200 vendors and more than 275 product managers/specialists to supply product data for the purpose of new item setup.- Analyzed the existing system architecture in which data flowed to and from three MS Access databases and an Excel workbook, and designed an enhanced system that integrated a Visual Basic form and functionality and maintained backwards compatibility.
