New Business Development Sales for Data Networking and Telephony product lines in the SLED vertical. The County of San Diego Project was the fruit of 3 years labor partnering with large system integrators to displace the incumbent telephony provider and outsource a union based staff and all IT and communications processes. Outside Sales for Bay Networks Data Networking LAN/WAN product line in the Small Business Division of spun off Lucent Technologies. Based on my success I was promoted after six months to the Enterprise Division to focus on Vertical Markets that hadn’t been penetrated previously by Lucent. • Won $250k City of Oceanside data backbone - competitive winback against Cabletron.

Opened new sales unit in San Diego for export to Mexico and learned Data Networking & Structured cabling product lines while selling in a foreign language. Location sales justified opening an office in Tijuana Mexico with 2 Mexican National sales personnel. I was transferred to the Federal Government Sales Group and maintained sales goals @ 25% Gross Profit without a signed Federal budget!
