George has a robust background in combating financial crime, developing compliance policies, optimizing performance, improving governance, and establishing MIS, KRIs and KPIs.He worked with the Sustainable Greece 2020 Initiative and the European Investment Bank as an advisor promoting green financing tools, enhancing access to finance for climate action and raising awareness of sustainability, responsible business practices and social responsibility.Throughout his career, George led global anti-fraud, AML, sanctions, KYC, AB&C, and regulatory engagements. He is adept at analyzing operational controls using COSO and has facilitated the implementation of SOX, MiFID, MiFIR, MAR, EMIR, FATCA, and CRS. He has also been instrumental in educating staff and deploying resources necessary for compliance and risk management.Starting as an Enterprise Risk Manager, George gained valuable experience in process analysis, systems migration, internal controls implementation, and regulatory framework establishment.
