Start working as the second, part time eduSTAR.TSSP and after few months replace the full time ST after he exit from the program and the two local tech's retired.As the only technician with knowledge of the network in the two campuses of the school, i kept the network and the ICT running until the school recruit local techs and another part time ST.I dealt with all the network and software issues that arise keeping the business continuity.Also i prepare the school for the transition to its own internet connection, upgrade of the link between campuses, hardware renewal and future plan for the network.At the same time we had the replacement of the DET server and the deployment of new desktops in the office, deployment of new Cisco WAP's and security cameras installed in both campuses, transition from Xuno to Compass, move of the admin office to another building and a number of relocations because of developing work in some buildings.Another project was to move to a seperate vlan the voice server and routers. As the local tech of that school i had to use the ticketing system, part of Sentral for education and serve the teachers need in ICT.Also i had to look after the student laptops and create jobs in Disco ICT for repairs or re-image and accordingly process the jobs to the warranty providers or re-image the device using SCCM or tech tools.Part of the position was also to participate in meetings with the ICT Coordinator and the eduSTAR.TSSP Tech of the school and advice and organise improvements and updates to the existing network and use of ICT.I was also involved in a project from Deakin University, under Dr. George Aranda, that had to do with 3D printers in education. Part of that was to prepare files for printing with groups of kids and their teacher in the 3D printer.Another aspect of the position was to keep order in the storage room where everything had to be in place, labeled and in order.The time i spend there i helped to organise the switches, a multibrand enviroment, with clean config's and update them to the latest OS.Also i installed three monitors as Digital Signage for announcements from the school and one in IT Office to monitor the connections and the bandwidth using network management solution.I experiment with Dude, Spiceworks, Nagios and finally i kept spiceworks for monitoring the network devices and servers.

As the school technician i was on the "window" serving the students for any technical issue with their hardware or software, on the phone and on the desk for staff members and on duty for any other enquire during the school operation for ICT issues like projectors, speakers, smart boards, network and internet access. Part of the job was to escalate the open jobs to the service providers and organise the repairing of the hardware, or in some cases fix the issue on prem. At the same time i was keeping updating the ICT documentation in OneNote. In the years i worked in this position i contribute into creating document libraries and other pages into the school SharePoint, intranet keeping up to date the info and according with the school IT manager instructions.I was using Disco ICT for inventorying and managing the warranty and non warranty laptop repairs for student and staff organising the jobs with the external warranty providers or ordering parts and replacing them in house with the aim to deliver back to student and staff a working device as soon as possible.
