Process engineering on cold fill pMDI manufacturing processes. I handle day to day issues, deviations and associated CAPAs, while scoping and implementing continuous improvement projects.I also write and complete validation work on a range of new equipment being designed/installed in the facility. This equipment has so far included a new fill line control system (PLC), a 100% product inspection system, heat stress testing equipment, and new cleaning procedures. This has involved leading and completing risk assessments.I have worked extensively with quality, EHS, Labs and engineering teams.

Full-time process engineer in charge of carpet printing processes. Managed process improvement on the print range, resolving several costly process issues. Managed operator behaviour, and worked with maintenance engineering, HSE, and quality control teams. Main engineering processes worked on:- Solid/liquid mixing of difficult to wet, gel forming polymer- Mixing/agitation of shear thinning, thixotropic dye pastes- Solenoid valve principal ink jet printing- Dyeing of nylon and cotton fabrics- Steaming processes- Foam application - Drying processes- Pneumatic systemsProduced extensive trials quantifying and explaining thixotropic, shear thinning dye paste behaviour through solid/liquid polyelectrolyte powder mixing, dye paste manufacturing and agitation, and printing processes. Proposed and worked upon a number of process improvement projects based on this work.

Managed a project with two other project leaders in the first year, and one other in the second. The role involved organizing and leading volunteers to cook a large Sunday roast at a community centre for local elderly, homeless and special needs residents. Unfortunately due to complications, the project had not been able to run for a few years but in the final weeks of the summer term in the first year, with the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions easing we were able to find a local partner who we could work with the implement the project. After the project was able to be set up, it was an instant success. The project was nominated for the "Most Improved Project" award in 2021.

Working for the Loughborough Student Union’s Action (Volunteering) Department I was responsible for leading volunteering projects and promoting volunteer work to the 320+ students living in David Collett Hall.As an Action hall representative, I would represent David Collett Hall in Action meetings. I would also attend all of the Action projects that I would select along with my co-Action representative. I participated in and helped lead over 100 hours of volunteering projects. I organised events including four food drives, overall collecting 1781 items of food and clothing for local food banks and shelters.For all this work I was nominated for several awards from the LSU, and I was given the “Most Improved Hall Award", and I was shortlisted for "Best On-Coming Hall Representative" award at the LSU's Action Awards. I continued to work as an Off-Coming Action Rep between Nov 2019 and July 2020, at the end of which the hall once again won the “Most Improved Hall Award". Over the two years the halls ranking for volunteer work had moved from 15th to 10th after the first year, and then to 5th after the second.
