After 10 years in the military, I changed career fields to computer programming. I have over five years of experience in DevOps with my primary tools experience being Terraform, Ansible/Puppet/Chef, Packer, Docker/AMIs, Jenkins/CodePipeline, and AWS. AWS Cloud Architect Certified. Jenkins Certified.I enjoy bringing teams away from manual, easily broken deploy processes to reliable, automated deployments kicked off by desired triggers (webhooks, scheduled times, button clicks). I dig into the details of mapping manually created cloud infrastructures into Infrastructure as Code. It's rewarding to share info and cool ideas with team-members, aspiring programmers, kids, and other interested parties. And it's not a one way street. I hope I never lose the drive to keep learning.I'm not into the hustle. I prefer building strong, well thought out foundations that are easy to build up and out, come back around to, iterate upon, and update with new best practices. I'm not afraid to be wrong or make mistakes, but I am terrified of doing nothing to understand the cause of, recover from, and prevent future repeat mistakes.
