George is Principal at BKK Architects and has led a range of public realm, urban infrastructure and multi-residential projects, with a particular interest in sustainability and Placemaking. Within BKK George has a leadership role in the ongoing coordination of formal and informal design review and critique across all projects. George has substantial experience in dealing with complex user groups and multiple client structures, with a good knowledge of government and authority processes. This experience ensures that input from relevant bodies and stakeholders is embedded into each project he works on as a critical component of the design process, irrespective of scale. George has extensive experience in working within and coordinating large consultant teams requiring clear communication, a distinctly collaborative approach and considerable leadership in ongoing design advocacy. George has extensive knowledge of architectural detailing across a range of project types and scales, from residential through to large infrastructure and urban design. He also has considerable site experience with a robust understanding of construction and the need for design solutions to engage with each project’s unique site constraints (and opportunities).George has held teaching roles in Design and Technology subjects at RMIT (Architecture) and Monash University (Art, Design & Architecture), within the Bachelors and Masters programs, and is a regular guest critic there and at Melbourne University.
