Current Duties include:- Directly managing the FIX connectivity and onboarding teams for EMEA clients, consisting of one team in London and another in India. - Overseeing and line manging the QA team for client services based projects.- Ensuring that all EMEA connectivity and FIX sessions are delivered in a timely manner.- Developing and refining the onboarding process in order to improve quality and reduce project timescales.- Interacting with new clients and sales to determine requirements for new projects and translating business to technical requirements.- Product managing and implementing bespoke projects for client services. Achievements in this role:- Product managing and developing a new lightweight EMS for Options and Futures Derivatives. This includes designing the solution with the client, writing the specification, managing the development queue and deploying the final project to production. - Helping to design and implement a deployment system for client servers that allows them to be deployed quickly and ensure that all changes are replicated across all client servers, allowing critical updates to be pushed to servers easily. This system has since be deployed across all Asset classes and regions with Flextrade.- Working with all EMEA FX clients to determine their requirements and improve their onboarding experience to greatly increase the speed and quality of delivery of new work to them.- Designing and developing a templating system for installing new components and brokers using XML templates to ensure resuability of conformances and minimise human error.

In this role I provided 1st , 2nd and 3rd level support to Flextrade’s eFX Trading platforms. This included debugging day to day support problems, designing and deploying patches to minimise client downtime and inconvenience.During this period I also worked as a FIX integration engineer managing multiple FIX related FX and STP related projects from intital client contact through the onboarding project to completion.Developed and conformed new STP and FIX connections using Java, C++. Including helping to develop and deploy Flextrade's first sellside Forward, NDF and Swap clients. During this period I was also tasked with acting as the technical client account manager for several of Flextrade’s largest EMEA FX clients. As part of this work I managed all client requirements from client request to deployment.

I worked as part of the Information Systems Security research group at the university of Kent. My work involved helping to design and implement secure systems for federated identity management and role based access control systems. These projects have included a study of OpenID for the UK JISC and various SAML and Federated Identity oriented projects.During this period I presented at several international conferences and took several MSc Information Security Lectures

I worked as an assistant to the Information Systems Research group at the university of Kent as a Java developer helping them to implement and release the open source PERMIS role based access control system.
