I drive marketing strategy, creative, and tactical execution for our company. This role involves collaborating with our growing team of finance and accounting professionals, supporting internal operations efforts and sales ops, managing organizational technology and data, conducting measurement and reporting, and building and managing programs to generate awareness of our services.

I worked with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to design and execute measurable, revenue-driven marketing strategies. This position was strategic in nature but still involved a lot of hands-on work for clients. Within Marketri, I also contributed to organizational strategy and worked to position the firm for long-term growth.

I helped clients understand digital marketing, content strategy, and measurement. I also collaborated on marketing plans, and played a central role in their rollout for clients. This involved working directly with executives, stakeholders, and contractors to execute a wide range of tactics including marketing content pieces, rebrands, websites, marketing technology systems, outreach, project management, and analytics.

I handled the marketing and sales support efforts at PeopleMetrics. This included web content, events, marketing and sales collateral, inbound and outbound efforts, and communications strategies. I also managed the sales team's processes and automation within HubSpot Sales.

I focused on writing blogs and creating website content to help drive the company's inbound marketing strategy, using HubSpot's COS and blogging platform. Over this span, I helped increase blog subscribers from around 300 to more than 2400. I also helped achieve consistent growth in web traffic on target topics and keywords. Under my direction, the blog was named first on NGData's "50 Customer Experience Blogs You Should Be Reading," first on Customer Guru's "20 BEST Customer Experience Blogs That You MUST Follow," and fourth in a list of "6 Blogs That Can Teach You More Than an MBA" by Inc.com (other blogs included Seth Godin's and HBR's).Other goals included telling great stories, improving as a creative writer, and teaching our audience about customer experience and customer-centric culture.

I worked to build user engagement by defining content strategy, managing and directing written content, and developing systems and frameworks that encouraged users to view and engage with content. I also designed and managed the Beyond.com News & Advice area, which served content to all users and promoted comment- and vote-based user engagement. This required the management of 6 writers submitting content weekly, as well as collaboration with the software development team. Pageviews to content doubled in my tenure--led mainly by email campaigns, focused content, and technology improvements--to more than 200K per month.

In this role, I oversaw all written communications and was involved in more organizational strategy with the CEO, while continuing my responsibilities on the creative team.

I wrote and edited copy while playing a variety of roles in marketing, creative, and organizational communications. I was also involved in designing and creating educational, creative-problem-solving-based activities for the organization's global afterschool program. I worked both in a creative team of designers and also alongside the CEO. Successes include collaboration on a successful brand refresh, including a comprehensive brand and style guide and a new website; an upswing in team participation numbers in our namesake afterschool program; development of a community-activism program; and development of several program guides to help students and parents navigate our programs more easily.

I taught writing rules, style, and skills to undergraduate students in one-on-one sessions. I scored this graduate assistant position while working toward my master's in writing.
