The main tasks involves the design, implementation and validation of a smart and sustainable energy system adapted to island territories. • Work with the project’s principal investigator to provide specialist advice on a set of guidelines to identify low-carbon transition patterns based on the technical, economic, policy and regulatory impacts of smart grid implementations within isolated territories.• Liaise with key stakeholders and other project partners to determine new business models for low-carbon development based on a whole-systems view of the project implementation, to include the local social, environmental, and techno-economic energy landscape of the respective territories.

Explored the identification of policy barriers and for informing low-carbon policy focus areas.
