The role requires me to isolate for testing, servicing and alteration works on HV and LV systems meanwhile issuing the correct permits, following and creating switching schedules and reviewing risk assessments and method statements on the epermit system. Also supervising subcontractors are working safely and as agreed on their method statements. Simultaneously assuring and managing the impacts the works being undertaken have to all lines of business outlined on the ECMS system. In my role I perform reactive and planned performed maintenance on electrical, electronic and HVAC equipment and sign off completed work on the concept system to give technical reports to provide feedback. Also acting with the on site communications engineers on the client’s behalf to ensure all systems are working to specification on either discipline and follow the escalation process if the systems are not BAU. The customer also required constant information with on-going faults which was performed by using a system called SharePoint.I also provided additional shift cover for our data center contract Bournemouth (RDC) as well as the Chaseside campus.
