The Trust's Board of Advisors, at best, functions rather like the Preservation Senate, with two members from each of the 50 states and the nine territories. Often referred to as the Trust's "Eyes and Ears" in the field, the Advisors provide information on local preservation issues and advise the Trust on policy and other matters from a local perspective.After serving a term, I was appointed to the Advisors Executive Committee as as "At-Large" member and then continued on the Exec Committee after being named Chair of the Western Region at the beginning of my last three-year term. I am pleased to retain a connection with the Trust as an Advisor Emeritus and continue in my efforts to bring Southern Oregon, and Oregon, issues to them when the need arises.

HPLO is the statewide preservation non-profit in Oregon and I served on the Board of Directors during a tumultuous period in this often tumultuous organization's history. After a period of quiet, in which HPLO largely focused upon Portland and the Willamette Valley, they are now in the process of ramping back up to serve all of Oregon. I am pleased to continue my long-connection to HPLO as a member of their Board of Advisors.
