Designed and implemented a high-performance, large scale computing cluster, providing transparent work distribution and results collection on a cluster of 100 servers/200 processors. This was similar to, but far more sophisticated and performant than, Map Reduce/Hadoop. The system was designed to scale in the tens of thousands of virtual machines. The infrastructure included XML-based system configuration (hot configurable), a fault-tolerant distributed directory service, distributed and local work queues, thread management, load balancing, fail-over, and inter-service communication management. When brought online in It was ranked #340 of the worlds top 500 supercomputers, 4 places above the Los Alamos National Laboratory.Designed and implemented a Distributed Web Crawler to download, filter, and store data. Designed and developed a next-generation Mobile Sales Force Automation product for the Tradeshow Industry. Key technologies include: RFID, SOAP, J2EE, Wi-Fi, Embedded Visual Basic (for WinCE), MySQL. The product enabled an exhibitor to scan an attendee badge (barcode/RFID) and the data would be immediately uploaded via wireless to a web-based sales contact management system.Designed and developed a mobile Sales Force Automation product (NOMAD) for the Tradeshow Industry, and licensed it to technology service providers fro events. Key technologies include: Codewarrior for PalmOS, Satellite Forms, MS Access.
