Jorge Madrigal is President and Chief Executive Officer of Penserra, a diversified financial services firm. Jorge has led the firm since it was founded in 2007, creating innovative products, delivering precise solutions, and effective recruiting is at the forefront of his leadership. Jorge also chairs the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, which sets the strategic direction of the firm. He works across all the business lines to ensure that Penserra is focused on our client’s most critical trading, capital markets, and investment objectives. Prior to founding Penserra, Jorge spent 14 years at Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which is now part of BlackRock, in various senior management roles. In addition to overseeing billions of dollars of investments, he implemented many innovative products, led key technology initiatives, participated on investment committees, and designed risk management programs. He also worked as a financial analyst at Conagra and Baxter International. Jorge is active in the business community and is a supporter of various charitable organizations that focus on children and education. He is also dedicated to promoting Latino business initiatives by mentoring finance professionals and advocating for diverse hiring practices. More recently his focus has been on corporate governance and pushing to introduce more diversity in the boardroom. Jorge is a EMpower Top 100 Ethnic Minority Executive Role Model of 2020.
