A post reporting to the General Manager – Finance & Administration Responsibilities: I am responsible for analysing key performance indicators and trends which include establishing financial benchmarks of acceptable performance as well as comparison of actual results to budget with a view of initiating corrective actions on major variances. I am responsible for the production and reviewing monthly, yearly the set of accounts which includes: statement of comprehensive income, statement of financial position, cash flow projections and quarterly financial statements for submission to the parent Ministry. I am also responsible for the production of various budgets including the master budget for the organisation as well as making sure that other departments adhere to their budgets. I am also overall in charge of all payments to suppliers and employees as well as cash-flow management so that the organisation has adequate cash resources when obligations fall due. Most importantly, I am responsible for providing top management with relevant up-to-date financial reports for critical decision making as well as for presentation to the Board and its committees.Accomplishments: Managed to produce audited financial statements and annual reports for the organisation for the period 2010-2012. Obtained unqualified audit opinions for the three years under audit. Developed and implemented the organisation’s internal control and procedure manual so as to standardize all financial transaction in the organisation. Managed to negotiate credit facilities with reputable banks for bridging finance so as to enable the organisation to carry out its mandate without cash shortages.

A post reporting to the Chief Executive Officer Responsibilities: I was overall in charge of all the financial aspects of the organisation which includes: consolidations, financial reporting, management accounting, Annual reports, budgets, audits as well as general administration. I was also responsible for the production of Board packs as well as arranging and taking minutes of the meetings of the Board and its committees. I was responsible for reviewing the internal controls as well as implementing remedial controls to safe guard the company’s assets. I was also responsible for negotiating finances for various projects as per the mandate of the organisation. I was also responsible for co-ordinating all financial activities between head office and investee companies including subsidiaries. I was also the main contact person between the organisation and external auditors.Accomplishments: Managed to obtain unqualified audits from 2004-2009 for the organisation. Managed to raise significant funding for the organisation to follow its rights in the Rainbow Tourism Group using equity derivative. I was part of the team that produced the first Indigenisation & Empowerment ACT in 2009. Managed to computerize the payroll system and achieved seamless integration amongst all systems that were used within the organisation.

I was also responsible for payroll related matters as well as recruitment and staff training. I was responsible for preparation of the annual budgets as well as implementing the budget. I was also responsible for the preparation of committee meetings as well as providing detailed financial data to aid the decision making process.Accomplishments: Unqualified audits from 2000-2003. Managed to computerize the finance department and achieved seamless integration with the ticket and bar sales systems so as to give up-to-date in information all the times. Managed to review the internal controls and procedures manuals for the organisation to bring them up-to-date with current trends and business situations.
