Software Developer at the Kentucky Administrative Office of the CourtsHired to assist the Kentucky AOC with a major software update/transition. Headed a project to update one of their primary ETL tools for statewide data collection from VB6 to .NET as well as add additional functionality. Developed several console/web apps to provide functionality while they transistion between major versions across all 120 counties. Assisted in the specification of a new DB structure, and acted as a knowledge resource for other developers to get up to speed. Worked with a small team to develop thick-client account and inventory software. Interpret and update legacy VB code to a new C# platform program. Implemented additional features to meet new customer requirements. Consult with clients and interpret documentation to customize program features. Analyze code to find and fix errors. Used report writing template middleware as well as SQL to create both standard and customizable reports. Assist program support staff with in-depth questions about the program back end.

Maintained server backup and management of Windows Server 2008 instance, and SQL Server 2010. General small office IT support including pricing and provisioning of new equipment, as well as support for both local and remote users. Wrote SQL scripts to create custom tables and reports. Wrote scripts using MS power-shell for services, port openings, and Windows Server tasks. Ran new cable for office expansion, including both data and phone networks. Designed and specified equipment for fiber network installation for both field runs as well as Central Office equipment.

Responsibilities included maintenance of wide area IP camera network, video switching equipment, video compression server and in-office display wall. Required knowledge of switching and routing practices, including wireless radio transmission. Developed and carried out plan to replace and upgrade weather monitoring system. Returned system from ~45% site uptime to 95% uptime across all sites. Part of a team that maintained the Network for the building, including network management, setup of new equipment, and user support.
