Supported the Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS), BMMP (predecessor to BTA), Joint Tactical Radio Service (JTRS), and Secretary of Airforce Financial Management Programs Technology (SAF/FMPT).Designed and implemented for SAF/FMPT the Financial Management Data Quality Service (FMDQS) using Oracle, Java, HTML, and JavaScript. The FMDQS served as the authoritative data source for Financial Management Data Element values. Installed the first FMDQS instance on an Air Force server. Used Apache POI to allow the export and import of data through Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.Worked with the Enterprise Vocabulary Team (EVT) to draft documents pertaining to FMDQS, that provided information on the data elements reviewed by the team. Worked with the otologists to remedy structural problems with the XSD (XML Schema Definition) files generated by the “TopBraid Suite” used in the creation of the vocabulary package.Authored documentation and architectural artifacts necessary to enable the vulnerability and risk assessment, development of the configuration management plan, and installation instructions for FMDQS’ Certificate to Operate. Added a capability to publish changes made to FMDQS data elements via an RSS newsfeed.As webmaster at JTRS, collaborated with the graphic artist and the author to maintain and update the website’s content. Used HTML, JavaScript, Dreamweaver, and ColdFusion for the site’s functionality. At the request of the JTRS architect, created a repository for use in sharing architectural products.Maintained DFAS website and upgraded the website to make it 508 compliant (mandated standard to improve usability by the disabled). At BMMP created an access database that contained systems and system interface data; wrote VBA to use the data to create Visio drawings that showed the information as inputs and outputs between systems: provided to the architecture team as Government Furnished Information (GFI). Responsible for the BMMP’s first website.
