As part of managing all relationship efforts to increase awareness of the registration and certification process, I used data-driven approaches to determine the best strategy for the Eligibility Center outreach and education program. Additionally, I provided live presentations on the NCAA's initial-eligibility standards to the high school community on behalf of the Eligibility Center. In addition, I spearheaded and implemented outreach initiatives to provide quality guidance and information to prospective student-athletes, guidance counselors, parents, and coaches.

To ensure student welfare (such as social justice, sexual violence, gender identity, drug and alcohol abuse, and stress management), I used social networking sites (Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok) to engage and interact with students. Additionally, I maintained oversight over the student affinity groups and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee(s), assisting them in implementing successful initiatives and dynamic programming as their primary advisor. I served on the Diversity Hiring Committee and Diversity Leadership Council, led programming initiatives for staff and students, facilitated personal & professional development workshops for all student-athletes, and supervised a team of three graduate students. Further, I identified, organized, and maintained opportunities for student-athletes to engage in community service and civic engagement. In addition, I scheduled guest speakers and topics of focus for the cohort of student-athletes, acted as a liaison to campus and community partners, and nurtured positive relationships with faculty and staff.

As an adjunct lecturer, I was responsible for introducing values to my Introduction to Leadership class, developing training objectives and measurable goals, and understanding students' needs to create engaging lesson plans tailored to meet their unique needs.During this time, I implemented KU's doctrine of leadership theories into the classroom and devised innovative course testing and training materials that enhanced the learning environment. With innovative training tools like real-world practice exercises, I established clear and quantifiable long-term and short-term instructional goals for Styles of Leadership, Interpersonal Relationships, and Counseling with each student while mapping out their career and academic paths.

I created the NCCU WINGS (Winning Initiatives for Nurturing Growth and Success) Program, focusing on developing skills to help students for life after sports, built on the tenets of student-athlete leadership: Community and Civic Engagement, Academic Success, and Athletic Excellence. Numerous resources were provided to NCCU student-athletes through this program, including:- personal and professional development workshops - athlete orientations to address on-campus resources and assist in developing transitional skills- community service opportunities for NCCU student-athletesI also directed the Preparing to Soar Summer Bridge Program (PSP) for academically at-risk incoming first-year student-athletes while serving as the primary advisor to the NCCU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Designed to help new students adjust to college life, my instruction in this course prepared them for success by introducing them to college life and developing the skill sets to be successful. It promoted scholastic attainment, the value of education, self-actualization, involvement in the campus and local community, and leadership skill development. We focused on mastering study skills, writing skills, critical thinking, health, and related issues.

My responsibilities included providing rules education sessions to coaches, staff, and student-athletes, interpreting NCAA rules, and coordinating all personnel matters to comply with NCAA Bylaws and protect NCAA eligibility.I established the Educating Leaders in Tomorrow’s Endeavors (ELITE) Program and the agent/financial advisor program. The ELITE Program assisted student-athletes at Vanderbilt University who desired to pursue a professional career in sports upon leaving Vanderbilt. For example, a student-athlete at Vanderbilt University who participated in the ELITE Program received counseling and practical information about maintaining athletic eligibility under NCAA Bylaws. In addition, the program provides evaluations of a potential professional sports career, teaches how to become a professional athlete, choose a sports agent/financial advisor, understand agent and professional contracts, and enhances financial management skills.I also supervised all intern and volunteer staff, evaluated and screened promotional activities (e.g., student-athlete appearances, charitable donations, and activities), coordinated monitoring of continuing eligibility and amateurism as well as facilitated Student-Athlete Opportunity Fund education, and assisted in supporting the educational, financial and health needs for all eligible student-athletes.Finally, I created all content for all internal and external correspondence to coaches, student-athletes, and staff, using elements of the Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat).
