I am a self-taught broadcast technician with over ten years experience having matriculated from the entry-level position of production assistant then on to master control operator, news technician, and most recently chief engineer. I have a calm, cool demeanor under pressure and have experienced many changes over the years including station management changes, downsizings, and complete takeovers. My ability to work with diverse groups including the news, sales, and management organizations while achieving shared goals has enabled me to gain experience in news photography, microwave equipment operation, and just about anything else a news station operation requires. My roles have nearly defined me as a “one-man engineering band” and that has made me invaluable and a highly trusted member of all the broadcast stations I have worked with. Some of the projects I am particularly proud of include relocation and reinstallation an entire station to its new building; installation, configuration, and upgrade of the WSI weather system; implementation of an automation system, and conversion of the station to HD broadcast capabilities.I hope to continue growing my knowledge of electronics and broadcast systems and hope to have many exciting moments as my career evolves.
