Manage and provide a wide range of IT support and expert consulting for faculty, staff, students, and partners of the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering. Manage, train, and coordinate activities of Luddy Service Desk consultants while following all Luddy and Indiana University policies. Coordinate the day-to-day handling of all service requests in the Luddy technology support system, ensuring issues are handled appropriately by all Service Desk Consultants. Technology support provided includes: Windows, Mac, and Unix/Linux desktop systems, laptops, classroom technology, networking, event support (including videoconferencing support), and hardware support. Accept projects as directed from the Director of IT, Deputy Director of Information Technology & Chief Information Privacy and Security Officer and the Associate Director of IT and Facilities Support. Work closely with all three to maintain an efficient and effective service desk support operation, implementing new policies and workflows as necessary. Assist in the planning, organization and deployment of new workflows in the Luddy Service Desk. Provides technical expertise, leadership, and training to the Luddy Service Desk Consultants. Represents the Luddy Infrastructure and Technology Group and the Luddy Service Desk at various meetings and projects with other departments and campus units.Recently, taken on the Telecom Coordinator role as part of this position. This role partners with The University Information Technology Services Telecommunications team to provide and administer VOIP systems to Luddy Faculty and Staff.
