Owner of several rental properties in the local community. I purchased each one, and personally renovated each one, performing most of the work myself, hiring some out. I manage the properties with a philosophy that if I wouldn't live in these homes, I wouldn't ask someone else to live in them.

Recently retired from over 29 years in both the Regular Army and Full-time Army National Guard. Held several positions throughout my career. I started out in the Regular Army, doing Basic and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO in 1982. My first duty station was in Fort Hood Texas from 1982-1983. I started out in the Regular Army, doing Basic and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO in 1982. My first duty station was in Fort Hood Texas from 1982-1983. Next I transferred overseas to a small base in Germany called Daley Barracks in the town of "Bad Kissigen". I was there from January of 1984 to August of 1985. I got out of the Regular Army in 1985 and went to school in Whapeton for 2 years. I joined the National Guard in 1987 as a Supply Clerk in the S-4 in Minot from 1987-1993. Next I moved on as a company Supply Sergeant in Grafton, ND from 1993-1999. I moved upstairs into the S-4 as the Battalion Supply Sergeant for the 1-188th Air Defense Artillery. I served in this position until 2001 when I was transferred to F Battery 1-188th Air Defense Artillery as the readiness NCO. During my time in F Battery, we were deployed for 17 months to Iraq, doing a variety of missions, but most of our time was spent training the Iraqi Army. This was in 2004-2005. I came home and returned to my job as the Readiness NCO and First Sergeant. In 2008 I was again moved upstairs as the Assistant Operations Sergeant, and soon after was selected for promotion to E-8 as the Operations Sergeant for the whole Battalion. In 2008 I was selected to be the First Sergeant for the RAID III mission to Afghanistan, and we deployed for the whole of 2009, returning home in January of 2010. I continued to work in the Operations Section until November of 2013, when I out-processed in Fort Riley, KS, went on my final leave and retired on January 1 of 2014. Show less
