Unit manager of the SEPA LIMS team since 2013. An experienced LIMS developer and administrator with a background in chemical analysis and research in freshwater, marine and terrestrial environments. Many years experience in the software development lifecycle and associated process analysis. A masters degree in Environmental Pollution Control Management allied to experience as an environmental regulator.Following a cyber attack on the organisation the team is now in the process of re-establishing LIMS capabilities for the SEPA chemistry, ecology and microbiology labs within the context of wider changes to our IS platforms and infrastructure. Following the provision of an Interim LIMS in the form of Labware LIMS v8 we are now implementing on MS Azure Labware LIMS v8 with the Contract Lab Template, SRIM and Water Scheduler modules. These packages will minimise the lead time for delivery of key capabilities which will support operational efficiency and quality management.Trying to live sustainably, cyclist and music lover I’m finally learning to play the piano. Key Experience: Labware, LIMS Basic, business process analysis and mapping, data migration, team management, staff development, training, presentations, communicating technical issues to non technical audiences.
