Established microarray analysis techniques in the laboratory, investigated the transcriptional control program governing the transition from fermentative to respiratory growth in yeast, performed genomic and physiological characterization of two newly discovered respiratory mutants lacking the ability to grow efficiently on glycerol as sole carbon source, real-time PCR investigations into gene expression during C. trachomatis persistence. Also involved in current collaboration using microarrays to comprehensively define the transcriptome-wide changes that drive the transition to the persistent state in C. trachomatis.
