My first contact with the pharmaceutical field was when I worked as a General Helper to the pharmacist and technicians at a pharmacy affiliated to Proxim, in 2009.This experience let to a new direction in my life and career path; I completed my DVS in Pharmacy Technical Assistance (PTA) at the Pearson Adult and Career Center (PACC) in 2011. I was lucky to have the opportunity to complete my internship, and work at Saint Mary’s hospital.As senior and experienced pharmacy technician, I have worked in a variety of areas within different types of pharmacies over the years.I have a particular interest in the internship aspect of the PTA program, which in my opinion is what most directly improves skill level, so I jumped at the opportunity to supervise and observe students’ practical activities as a ‘Maître de stage’ between 2014 and 2019 at the Shadd Health & Business Center (EMSB). Passing on my expertise to the next generation, mapping out training plans, designing and developing training programs (in-house) sparked a new interest and passion. I am an expert in my field and love working with people and found a way to combine both.I first taught on a temporary assignment at L’École des Métiers des Faubourgs-de-Montréal (CSDM) in 2015. Then, I started teaching to aspiring Pharmacy Technicians at ACCESS Adult Education and Career Training Centre (RSB) in March 2016, where I still teach today.Throughout my career, I have played an important role in helping people and the community, while striving to positively affect their lives. I like working in a fast-paced environment, filled with challenges, which offers me the chance to work with new patients and other healthcare members.I love being part of the world of healthcare; the pharmaceutical industry allowed me to nurture my desire to help others. I am passionate about helping people and making a difference in their lives. I am grateful for my profession where I can touch the lives of others and make a difference in them.
