Georges Matar, born in 1968, is a seasoned security professional with over 35 years of experience in close protection and Security management. Joining the British Embassy in 1989, started as a member of the security armed forces and swiftly climbed the ranks. By June 1993, I assumed the crucial role of providing close protection to the Defense Attaché, later advancing to the close protection team of the British Ambassador in Lebanon in 1995.Throughout my career, I demonstrated exceptional leadership, earning the position of Deputy Close Protection Team Leader in 2005 and Security Line Manager for 12-member team, I meticulously plans and executes security operations, ensuring the safety of the British Ambassador in Beirut. My responsibilities extend to supervising the daily program, maintaining professional contacts with external agencies, and conducting security assessments to implement effective measures.I'm a dedicated professional with a wealth of experience, making significant contributions to the security and protection landscape at the British Embassy in Beirut.

  -Provide Security for the British Embassy perimeters and UK staff. Conduct access control and visitors screening, prevent unauthorized access, protect life, deter terrorist attacks-Conducting Individual Bodyguard Drills when the Defense Attaché of the British Embassy is moving in Armed Vehicle or on Foot and communicating with Lebanese Army Forces to facilitate the Mission.-Providing Full Close Protection to the Ambassadors and other UKB within a 12 of Close Protection Team members were operating daily basis by carrying out all Close Protection and Security DUTIES as suchSAP, CAT, PES, Bodyguard, RST, Official Recce Duties and Analyzing Security measures -Summary of my Responsibilities:• Supervise the daily programming and scheduling of an armed 12 men Team and make sure that all CP duties are conducted professionally• Responsible for the planning and execution of security operations within the Team• Produce a daily schedule and assign team members to daily roles in the Team• Responsible for the convoy routes selection• Maintain and develop professional contacts with outside agencies• Responsible of all armed Cars• Supervise and submit monthly team attendance and overtime sheets• Provides comprehensive procedural documents with respect to CP activities• Assists in the implementation and supervision of all CP team training• Assists in the procurement and disbursement and use of CPT equipment.• Responsible for the managing of First Aid equipment• Responsible for the CPT accommodation• Carries out Security Assessments to ensure appropriate measures are met• Performs duties of Escort Commander and Bodyguard during their normal shift cycle• Maintain and instill team discipline and Completes their Yearly Appraisals and evaluation• when TL is away I have the operational command on thefollowing the instruction of Standing Operation Procedures(SOPs)• Carry out random checks on individual's personal weapon• Ensure respect the chain of command
