- Contribute to the entire design cycle of FPGA-based projects, from requirements analysis andarchitecture to detailed design, implementation, verification and tests for different markets such as telecom, defence, industrial, automotive, robotics and IoT.- Interact with customers and help them develop solutions that will contribute to their success.- Perform requirements analysis, architecture, detailed design, implementation, verification and test taskson complex systems containing FPGAs- Work closely with Analog HW, Digital HW, Power and Embedded FW groups to produce high-qualitydesigns.

- Develop multiple IPs and design units, coded in Verilog and used in the SOC.- Compile test plans and list test cases to conduct the system verification.- Testbench coding in Verilog/SystemVerilog.- Apply the various techniques and approaches of the Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).- Owns the verification of complex digital integrated circuits at the block, subsystem or device level.- Digital simulation using Mentor Graphics' ModelSim/QuestaSim.- Familiarity with scripting languages, such as TCL.- Functional code coverage.- Document and report problems found to designers and assist them in identifying the source of the problems.- System synthesis and chip compilation using Altera/Intel Quartus, Xilinx Vivado and Microsemi Libero.- Power estimation and timing analysis.- Bring-up design in the lab and support laboratory testing.- Knowledge of source code management techniques (SVN, GIT).- Collaborate with Software and Validation teams to deliver devices that integrate into a wider system.Projects and designs:- Sonet/STM Framers (Multirate)- OTN Framers (Multirate)- Error Correction: GFEC/EFEC- GFP Framers (Multirate)- GMP Aligner- 10G/100G OTN Muxponder/Multiponder/ADM- AMBA/AXI master/slave

Course: EEN 328 Advanced Digital Design Laboratory Corequisite: EEN 327 Advanced Logic DesignCourse SynopsisProvide the student with the advanced tools to apply his knowledge, acquired in the Advanced Logic Design, in the FPGA. At the end of this laboratory, he will be able to use Boolean algebra and Verilog to design combinatorial and sequential circuits, be familiar with Xilinx tools, understand the full process of chip development and use verification tools to test his logic.
