As a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and Board Certified in Civil Trial Law, I have the experience to help companies take well-calculated risks – and reap the associated rewards – in litigation proceedings. Throughout my 30+ years of trial experience, I’ve tried cases and argued appeals regarding energy, business, and environmental disputes before state and federal courts and represented clients in ad hoc arbitrations and before many domestic and international tribunals. I’m proud to have been repeatedly recognized as a leading lawyer by Chambers, and I count the confidence and trust placed in me by my clients as my greatest success. Over my years in practice, I’ve found early, efficient case evaluation the most effective means of securing favorable outcomes while placing as little a burden on client resources as possible. My goal is for clients to pay for results, not billable hours. When possible, I prefer working with alternative or contingency fee arrangements to markedly share the inherent risk – and possible reward – that comes with complex legal issues.A first-generation college graduate, I graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in English from Baylor University before earning my J.D., with honors, from Baylor Law School. I am honored to be a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and to have served as President of the Texas Association of Certified Trial and Appellate Specialists. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and a good game of golf.
