Some of my achievements include:•Working with 12 cross-functional (business and communication experts, designers, and software developers) and four geo-distributed (Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Cyprus) teams.•Architecting and maintaining more than 400 applications for BLOM Lebanon, BLOM Jordan, BLOM Cyprus, BLOM Iraq, and BLOM Development Bank (Islamic Bank, part of the BLOM Group).•Developing the tools to monitor the performance of all the database systems managed by the team.•Designing, coordinating, and documenting all the bank’s partners’ APIs.•Leading the team designing and implementing the PSD2 directives (Open Banking) for BLOM Cyprus.•Leading the development of the bank’s ISO8583 authorization interfaces (using version 1987 and 1993 of the standard) and the core banking application.•Designing the database model and implementing a web-based workflow system allowing the bank to double the number of granted loans and accepted checks while reducing the processing time by three.•Optimizing time use through early and continuous delivery of software and first engagement of business users, thus maximizing the team’s throughput.•Piloting the development of the bank’s mobile banking app, which has more than 100,000 downloads and a Google Play rating of 4.5, the highest for a Lebanese financial app.•Designing and closely overseeing the development of the scalability and high availability aspect of all of the team’s mission-critical applications to meet our set KPIs, RTOs, and RPOs.•Designing and maintaining the integration platforms with more than 20 large payment-related third parties, including Fintech, Visa and Mastercard, the local credit card switches, SWIFT, ministries, central banks (using ISO 20022 messages), and Mobile Network Operators (MNOs). We Implement all the RESTful APIs using Spring Boot. -
