As the Project Controller for the Plum Point Service Company, I provided a variety of contracted management services for a $2 billion power generation facility in Arkansas that was owned by a diverse group of investors. I maintained outstanding relationships with the lenders, bond trustees, vendors and project owners. I also performed cash management, accounting and tax services and prepared project cash flow projections, operating budgets and capital budgets.

As a member of the Construction, Development & Repowering team, I managed the financing activities for a $4 billion portfolio of construction projects. To effectively manage a portfolio of this magnitude, I created a monthly process that allowed me to consistently meet deadlines under pressure with regard to cash management, project budgets and contingency allocations. I nurtured and maintained positive relationships with key players such as multiple lenders (related to credit agreements), bond trustees (for both taxable industrial development bonds and tax-exempt bonds), numerous project vendors and both internal/external investors. In addition, I provided support for activities related to new financing, refinancing and potential asset sales.

As the Capital Planning Manager for Dynegy's gas fired combustion turbine fleet, I was responsible for preparing the 5 year capital budget plan (approx. $150 million annually) including economic analyses and technical justifications. This process included the determination of capitalized maintenance costs utilizing reusable rotating spares that were repairable. In addition, I effectively interfaced with personnel in the accounting, purchasing, risk management and tax departments to provide a thorough understanding of a variety of metrics used to support processes/procedures and decision making.

As the Business Operations Manager, I successfully administered (and assisted in negotiating) a variety of contracts including operations & maintenance agreements, vendor alliance agreements and long-term service agreements. In addition, I assisted in the preparation of operations & maintenance proposals, operating expense budgets and capital planning budgets. I effectively interfaced with personnel in other departments (accounting, corporate support and risk management) to ensure proper assumptions were being used to support business decisions.

As the Operations Accounting Manager, I was responsible for all accounting procedures related to the operations and maintenance agreements for a fleet of sixteen power generation facilities including internal and external audit compliance. This activity had numerous deadlines and constraints related to financial reporting requirements and the work was consistently completed on time and according to schedule. I also supported the manufacturing of alternate source combustion turbine parts that required a significant understanding of contract requirements and the maintenance of relationships with a number of international vendors. In addition, I was responsible for the successful transition of the accounts payable department related to Dynegy's purchase of Destec Energy.

As an Audit Supervisor for this large local public accounting firm, I was responsible for the performance of external audits of non-publicly traded entities (mostly construction companies, manufacturers and automobile dealerships). This work included the preparation of financial statements, cash flows and the related footnotes. I successfully maintained positive client relationships and worked in many instances directly for one of several partners. In addition, I performed "agreed upon procedures", compilations, litigation support engagements and business valuations.
