I am currently the lead web designer and primary creative force at Buckeye Interactive, a web development and design agency in New Albany, Ohio. I have an in-depth background in art and design, specializing in web design, photography, drawing, typography, logo design, branding, and front-end development. I've been involved with many creative organizations, programs, and exhibitions, from being a proud member of AIGA and Creative Smackdown to the ADDY Awards, Build Responsively, Future of Web Design in NYC, and Graphic Exposure (among others). Academically, I attended Central Michigan University where I was admitted into the competitive entry graphic design program and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2010. After college I relocated to the Columbus, Ohio area where I continued the freelance design and contract work I started while still in school, before landing a job as the Graphic Designer/Marketing Specialist for M2NS/AuSuM Systems in Dublin, Ohio. After a year in a corporate setting, I parted ways and dove back into freelance work before joining the Buckeye Interactive team in February of 2012. Since then I've been immersing myself in doing work with a small business for small businesses (and loving every second of it!). I've gotten exponentially more proficient in writing code and crafting innovative and attractive designs for each and every client. My toolbox keeps expanding as well, learning the latest industry trends and practices such as responsive web design.I continue refining my expertise in areas I'm familiar with while always willing and eager to stay on top of what's coming down the pipeline. I'm told my devotion to not good but great design is both noteworthy and inspiring, and I look to continue my growth, experience and knowledge-gathering at any future conferences, workshops, or learning situations I find myself in!
