My passion for the ocean was developed by an early sailing career and furthered during my degree. Combining my knowledge and skills from my experiences and my research during my undergraduate degree, I am interested in furthering my academic career in the marine conservation or policy sector, focusing on marine social-ecological interactions. I recently completed a sabbatical year from my Marine Biology degree at the University of Exeter, Cornwall, to fulfil my role as Falmouth and Exeter Students' Union President Exeter. Within this role, I was responsible for overseeing academic issues and raising and representing the unique voice of students studying at the University of Exeter's Cornwall Campus' (Penryn and Truro).
