Georgia is the president & principal consultant of Abbott & Associates Consulting, LLC, specializing in business development, strategic planning, market planning, process & operations management, financial turn-arounds and building entrepreneurial ecosystems. She holds a B. A. from Kalamazoo College in Organizational Psychology and received her MBA from The Richard DeVos Graduate School of Management in 2001. Georgia Abbott also served for 15 years as the Sr. Advisor for MBA Fieldwork Consulting Practicums at DeVos Graduate School of Management at Northwood University. Over the last 15 years, she has consulted over 120 companies through Strategic & Marketing Plans with DeVos MBA students. Between 2014 and 2016, Abbott was the Director of Education & Business Development at the Industrial Arts Institute & the Director of Business Development for Integrity Testing & Inspection, divisions of the Moran Iron Works in Onaway, MI. Previously, Abbott worked for General Motors Corporation for 14 years, primarily on product development teams, managing vehicle operations and worldwide purchasing. After moving to Midland, MI, she started her own entrepreneurial venture, The Children’s School of Music, which she sold in 2014 to the Midland Center for the Arts in Midland, MI.
