During my 12 weeks as a summer vacationer I primarily worked within Contract Quality in the Contract Management group (CM) , where I was able to continue my experience in Contract Management. As a summer vac I was provided opportunities to develop my capabilities through professional development sessions which was specifically allocated to this program. From June to July of 2017 I participated in an internship with Telstra within the Contract Management Business Unit. For four weeks I worked full time within the NBN delivery contract management team as a contract administrator. Throughout my internship I learnt and gained various skills including: - Various Telstra training inductions - How a contract is operationalised - I contributed to and presented in part a Contract Management Forum - I assisted in editing and reviewing multiple contractual documents -I created numerous spreadsheets detailing changes that needed to be made - I attended various meetings with contractors and legal counsel - I attended a tour of a Telstra Telephone exchange - I gained a greater understanding of the depth of business involved within the Telstra organisation

For six weeks rom July to August I completed an internship primarily surrounding change management for 3 days a week. Throughout my time I gained experience and knowledge in the following: - I contributed to a detailed impact assessment within a change management project, and assisted with editing a change strategy within that project. - I contributed to customer persona profiles and Customer Journeys for a secondary project within change management - I attended a WebEx Webinar on change management - I dialled in on meetings to gain knowledge of the intricacies of planning for project and facilitating operations of projects practically - I learnt the project management steps and the details involved within those steps to operationalize a project. - I sat in on a training session of Credit lenders to gain an understanding of the learning facilitators role and work - I learnt about the importance and implementation of communications for the company - I gained an understanding of how to use MS Project to create a schedule for a project and what is involved in scoping a project. - I learnt to use Skype for business and outlook to facilitate meetings and communication The work experience opportunity allowed me to gain a great understanding and appreciation for change management and the project implementation process. This experience has allowed me to gain confidence and experience within the work environment and cemented my future goals for career development.

In particular I learnt the fundamentals of customer service and how to provide the best possible service to the individual, and how important customer satisfaction is to a successful business.
