The role involved quality control of fuels and field inspections in random petrol stations, using analytical techniques and equipment such as GC and HPLC as well as UV spectrometry.Carried out viscosity measurements in bio fuels and lubricants and estimated the calorific value of liquid fuels, bio fuels, solid fuels and biomass.Ensured the maintenance of laboratory instruments for proper working order and troubleshot malfunctions when needed.

Worked with production staff to raise awareness of the importance of quality procedures. Implemented and maintained quality management systems (ISO 9000) to measure and control quality in the production process. Also, reviewed policies, methods and procedures to be able to give sound advice on improvement plans and generated ideas on how to improve quality control procedures when it was necessary.Prepared test solutions, compounds and reagents for laboratory conducting tests, liaised with production department and worked out the chemical dye formula, taking into account how the textile will absorb the colour and made adjustments to the mix and machine settings until a perfect colour match was achieved. Produced the final formula for use in the production process.Worked effectively in a fast-moving and demanding production environment by being proactive, self-motivated and active team member.
