I am dedicated to driving cultural change both in my work life and personal life.I have been influenced in my drive for cultural change by my experience both belonging to and working with diversity groups, as well as my studies in Psychology. I believe that cultural change can happen once we value diversity of thought. I have been working as a Project/Policy Officer in the NSW Government Graduate Program in 2019. This has given me a robust and varied insights into working in the Public Sector. I have had many opportunities to develop my skills in various business areas, whilst gaining a strong foundation in Human Resources and project management. Through this experience I have learned that I am passionate about working to support vulnerable populations. Prior to this I worked in customer facing jobs in hospitality and retail, where I learned a lot about how people engage with others. I value curiosity and education. Outside of work, I spend my time fulfilling my curiosity by researching interesting and wonderful topics, this makes me pretty good at trivia. I also try to upkeep and enhance my skills as a Barista, so I don’t spend all of my money on coffee. I am a volunteer for Wear It Purple, which acts as a creative and rewarding activity for me as I can express my ideas on how we can engage the wider community on LGBTQI+ needs while supporting our Rainbow Youth.
