Opened up a small business in 2015, a specialty coffee bar ‘Bean in Dingle’ with my two older brothers. As I study marketing, along with other finance and strategic modules, I was heavily involved in origins of the business. As Bean in Dingle is one of Dingle’s hotspots – promptly and smoothly solving customer issues is key. Social Media – I was responsible for the Bean in Dingle’s online presence. At present, over 4,000 followers. Posting daily, varying between witty snap stories, competitions, informational posts and showcasing the team’s laughable nature. Inventory management - ensuring stock levels are optimised. Attention to detail is key; maintain standard of relaxed atmosphere and cleanliness throughout the day. Music – playlists are appropriated for the shop to vary the atmosphere, the aim is to keep it the mood light, inviting, relaxing and friendly.

Circulate is a music marketing agency in the centre of Dublin city. I interned here during 2017, developing skills learned from my degree and applying them to the industry. As a lover of all things music and an aspiring amateur DJ, working in the music industry is a goal of mine. The role comprised of various key tasks; Liaising with clients in the music industry (Artists, DJs, record labels, clubs and festivals). Assisted in creating effective strategies tailored to each client, central to their new release.Executing digital media plans using the latest tech or social media trend. Drew upon analytical and creative skills to provide fresh ideas for the clients. Worked alongside a senior account manager on accounts such as Faithless, Martin Solveig, Jonas Blue and many more. Using my own judgement in regards to social media, tone of voice and content creation – all skills rapidly developed during my stint at Circulate.

After a couple of years at Murphy's Ice Cream, I became a senior staff member and began receiving more and more responsibilities. I proceeded with training new employees, maintaining and moving towards achieving the goals of the company and ensuring the standard of the product was controlled.Team work was of the utmost importance and all employees were encouraged to work well together and bond to ensure a positive work environment which reflected onto the customers.
