Within a small team of four, I worked with unsigned artists to create acoustic videos of them performing an original song of theirs, to promote them via our social media channels. We used a relaxed location of the living room to give off an inviting atmosphere, with the artist performing in a homely environment on the sofa. As part of Sofa Sessions, we organised Sofa Sessions Live, a gig with 3 acoustic singers at a local Southampton venue. This gig sold out and received great feedback from those who attended and from the musicians themselves. My roles for Sofa Sessions included:- Co-Founder- Creating the Sofa Sessions logo on Photoshop- Social media management - Contacting musicians and organising schedules for filming their video- Organising upload and posting schedules of videos and countdowns to boost views- Ensuring the musicians felt happy and comfortable during the filming of videos and before they were shared onlineFor Sofa Sessions Live my roles included:- Researching suitable local venues - Creating a budget spreadsheet with venue costs, travel costs for musicians etc - Contacting musicians and organising a suitable date for them, the venue and ourselves- Organising equipment needed- Acted as artist liaison prior and on the night, ensuring they were happy with their performance timing and resolving any issues or queries they had as efficiently as possible
