Legacies of Enslavement InitiativeI am exploring the history of Christ's College's involvement in Transatlantic slavery as part of a funded one month research project.

As a Library Assistant I help members of the public access library resources, process stock, use specialist computer software and assist in events such as family craft days.

Supporting groups from uniformed youth organisations during their travels and adventures in the Swiss Alps.

I assisted the Course Director in running an English Language Summer School for around 200 12-26 year old international students.My responsibilities included:- organising and adapting arrivals, departures and rooming arrangements- creating the staff rota - managing the activity budget - leading activities- answering student queries- creating signage and posters - providing basic first aid and welfare provision

As an Our Chalet Assistant in spring 2017 I was involved in the activity programme and guest services at the Our Chalet (WAGGGS World Centre). I worked in an international team with colleagues from all 6 continents, providing for guests from around the world.Guest services:Catering - we cooked three meals a day for up to sixty guests, maintaining high food hygiene standards and ensuring low food wastageHousekeeping - cleaning common areas and bedrooms and setting rooms Shop - manning and restocking the souvenir shop and using the tillIn September 2018, I returned to Our Chalet to assist in the training period for the new volunteer team. I was a call handler on the gas emergency line, sometimes also handling complaints and enquiries. The work on the emergency line involved remaining calm under pressure, reassuring callers, collecting information quickly and giving clear and comprehensive safety advise.
