Georgie Smith is the founder and CEO of the nonprofit A Sense of Home(ASOH). Smith was honored as a top 10 CNN Hero , a nominee at the 2018 DVF Awards at the UN in NY, a Shero at the 2017 Women's Choice Awards, featured in the books  "200 Women Who Will Change the Way You See the World."  and Random Acts of Kindness”.ASOH began when Smith responded to a cry for help by a young man who had just aged out of foster care. Her random act of kindness spiraled into a movement, creating over 600 homes in 5+ years for aged-out foster youth. ASOH is a homeless prevention program (for those that make up 50% of the homeless population) whilst simultaneously providing a foundation for young people to build a successful future after overcoming immense trauma, and adversity. Smith created an efficient system where in only 90 minutes a home environment is created by volunteers who gain a life changing team-building experience whilst also contributing to building healthier communities. Some of the world’s most successful corporations claim ASOH to be the best team building opportunity that has changed their corporate culture. The model will begin scaling across the country in 2021.
