• Study and review provided materials to learn about drug development and clinical trial processes and terminology, the pharmaceutical and CRO industries, and Covance’s business, departments, and processes. • Liaise with members of other departments during introductory meetings and preparation of deliverables with the objective of learning processes and assimilating knowledge for future application. • Attend training and perform exercises to learn how to use Covance’s budget tool and templates. • Review RFI and Request for Proposal (RFP) documents. Learn to determine that it has adequate information for budget preparation and follow up with appropriate team members for additional information, as needed. • Attend Proposal Strategy Calls, budget review meetings, budget signoff meetings, and project hand-over meetings to understand goals and objectives of each and the process for setting up and facilitating these meetings. • With guidance from line management and experienced colleagues, assist with the development of proposals, budgets, RFI responses, Work Order components and Contract Amendments. • With guidance from line management and experienced colleagues, participate in correspondence with third party vendors for provision of quotations where required. • Perform other duties as required by the department.
